Balance Yoga for your Health

February 5th, 2010 Julie Mills No comments

It’s almost impossible to sum up all of the health benefits of balance yoga in one article. The list is a million miles long. It is nearly impossible to sum it up all in one article. The immediate benefits can be felt even after your first yoga class. You’ll feel an elated, exhausted and clear minded feeling the minute you leave the yoga studio.

One of the obvious benefits of yoga is that you gain flexibility. It’s tough at first for sure, especially if you’ve never done a sport that improves flexibility. Your muscles won’t be happy with you at first, but as long as you stick with it and do the deep breathing that is always taught with it, you’ll start to feel yourself loosen up. Your muscles will be able to relax deeper and deeper into each stretch.

One of the things that is most challenged when beginning a yoga practice for the first time is your strength. Most poses require you to hold up your own body weight and move from pose to pose with controlled muscle movements. Yoga won’t make you bulky, but it will give you a toned, strong and defined look. Come on, don’t we all want to look like Madonna! Well, maybe even a quarter as toned as Madonna might be good enough. At first even the most basic poses, like a simple down dog, will make your shoulders burn. Over time your body will adjust and your muscles will better be able to support your weight. You’ll get long, lean and toned too!

With the committed practice of yoga, you’ll really begin to fully breathe.

When the Breath wanders, the mind is unsteady, but when the Breath is still, so is the mind still.” – Hatha Yoga Pradipika

It’s not often that we think of our breathing in everyday life. In yoga class, you’re trained to breath fully, deeply and consiously. The idea is that yoga breathing exercises gets more oxygen to your blood and to your brain. You’ll use more of your lungs than you do normally and feel the difference between normal breath and fully yoga breathing exercises.

Although supplements are meant to help you lose weight, they still require a healthy diet and exercise. Fat loss supplements help your body to increase its energy, stabilize metabolism and suppress your appetite. Supplements can be very beneficial to your physique if you take them in the right dose and stick to a good diet. Non-stimulate fat burning supplements are an excellent choice for body builders who do not take caffeine or stimulates. Another supplement that is very popular and has good outcomes is food suppressants, which help with your body’s desire to eat.

To have the right body you must do the right things. One of them is to drink enough water. Our body contains a lot more fluid than the meat and fat that we normally see. One gallon a day is very healthy and should be consumed through out the day. This means that the kidneys will be able to do it’s job correctly and be able to turn fat cells into energy. If not enough water is drunk though out the day, the livers are forced to work more than usual for the kidneys and your weight loss strategy also decreases.

To speed up the metabolism in your body and burn those unwanted fat cells you will need to eat at least 5-6 smaller meals a day than the usual 3 meals a day routine. That’s the start of a healthy body building diet. Your muscles are repaired by protein and carbohydrates give you the energy to do just that. Some foods that you might want to look for that are usually high in protein are red meat, dairy products, poultry, fish, beans and egg whites. Foods that are high in protein and carbohydrates are the best for you healthy body building diet. You might even want to consider raw, which holds all the nutrients without being burned off while cooking.

Stress is a very common thing in everyday life. This is also one major factor why so many people have bad habits that leads to eating too much because they are just careless. Always try your best to be very positive at all times and think about happy moments other than those drowning nightmare thoughts of things that shouldn’t be around you. By eliminating stress, your digestive system doesn’t have to shut down and store excessive fat that is hard to burn off.

Older people tend to walk more. Younger people if able to should jog. Jogging will help the diaphragm and lungs expand to breathe easily. Also, learn how to control the breathing. Do this exercise for a good while before achieving big results but it’s way worth it.

Fast walking or jogging is a good way to tone down the fat in your body. Walking is fine but it will take way more time than jogging. Perhaps age is the factor, fast pace walking is very good with a small weight dumbbell. Jogging is the best to expand that diaphragm. Learn how to control the breathing rhythm so the lungs don’t overwork too hard. Also, doing this in under one month will be small results, if done for quite some times then results will be very visible.
